Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is hiring dependable, compassionate, fun, & enthusiastic coaches to work with children ages 2-8 & to help us pursue our Company Vision Statement: "To positively impact children's lives and to provide a remarkable experience for their families on and off the soccer field through best-in-class coaching, communication, and curriculum."
For coaches in the Pittsburgh West region, potential work locations include McKees Rocks, Sewickley, Robinson Township, Aliquippa, Beaver, Moon Township, Greentree, and Bridgeville, among others. Depending on location, potentials could also include the southern North Hills, Pittsburgh City locations, and/or the northern South Hills. This will be discussed & explored further during the interview process.

Instructors must meet the following criteria:
  • Reliable & Committed: Must be willing / able to commit to your set schedule for each 8-11 week season.
  • Responsible: Arrives at least 20 minutes early to each session; comes prepared with lesson plan memorized; keeps accurate attendance; communicates well with Soccer Shots leadership team as concerns and needs arise, etc.
  • Professional: Neat in appearance; friendly and courteous with parents and/or facility staff; self-assured and confident.
  • Enthusiastic: Must enjoy interacting with young children (2–8 years old); able to connect with children and to communicate on their level. You must be willing to be going, animated, and silly with the children.
  • Experience with YOUNG children: Must be able to easily engage and interact with a group of up to ten 2-8 year olds.
  • Self-sufficient, Communicative, and Responsive: The duties of position make it such that good communication and feedback from our coaches is necessary. Since we do not all work together at one location, responsiveness & the ability to initiate conversations and to request support when needed is important. Coaches must be able to keep themselves on track schedule-wise & must maintain effective & timely communication with supervisors about any challenges or with concerns . We require a response within 24 hours of communications sent by Soccer Shots leadership personnel. 
  • Reliable PERSONAL transportation and valid driver's license: reliance on public transportation, ride sharing, or alternative forms of transportation (bicycle) has been shown to be highly unsustainable given the locations at which we work.

Compensation is $18/ 30 to 45-minute session for Head Coaches & $10/ 30 to 45-minute session for Alternate Coaches / Coaches-in-training. It is typical for coaches to go through an initial, paid training period (as an Alternate Coach / Coach-in-Training) before being promoted to Head Coach.
