Description

Job Summary:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient operations within a manufacturing and co-packing environment. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align production plans with customer demand, inventory levels, labor availability, and line capacity while meeting quality and delivery expectations.


Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules for manufacturing and co-packing linesย 
  • Coordinate with buyers, warehouse, and production teams to ensure materials and resources are available to meet client timelinesย 
  • Adjust schedules in real time to accommodate changes such as rush orders, equipment downtime, or supply disruptionsย 
  • Monitor production progress and communicate status updates, delays, and risks to stakeholdersย 
  • Optimize line utilization, minimize downtime, and improve overall production efficiencyย 
  • Collaborate with quality and operations teams to ensure compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirementsย 
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvementย 
  • Support inventory management by collaborating with demand planners to align production plans with customer schedules and stock levelsย 
  • Has the desire & skillset to thrive in a fast-packed, dynamically growing environmentย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • ERP software experience: Syteline or IFS experience is a plus.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Bilingual in Spanish is a plusย 
  • MRP experience is a plusย 
  • High attention to detail and accuracyย 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesย 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Production Management or equivalent.

Food Safety Responsibilities:

  • Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)
  • Participate in company GMP walks
  • Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel between facilities located in Elk Grove Village, IL and Bartlett, IL on a regular basisย 
  • Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 - 80 degreesย 
  • This position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the business.

Physical Requirements:

  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Lift up to 25 pounds
