As a Machine Vision Co-Op, you will be involved in a variety of projects including software development, electronics design, factory support, and product testing.
What You'll Do:
  • Work alongside full-time engineers to develop and improve Hunter products
  • Research computer vision algorithms for images and 3D point clouds. Your research could be the basis of new Hunter products! Research will be done in C++, C#, Python, or other languages depending on project requirements.
  • Design, build, and test software that calibrates Hunter's precision equipment built in Hunter factories. Previous work includes camera, laser, and target calibration using gimbals, robotic arms, or custom-built machines.
  • Work with hardware sensors to evaluate performance and applicability in Hunter products. Examples include new cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors. This involves writing software to control the sensors, building development applications, and integrating the results with existing Hunter software.
  • Integrate AI vision algorithms, conventional vision algorithms, and systems programming onto low-power edge devices where high performance really matters.
  • Develop electronics hardware and firmware to integrate with Hunter products using technologies like USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, GMSL, and more!
  • Program embedded Linux software to interact with sensors and communicate with Hunter products
  • Create and execute test plans for new and existing hardware designs

What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (must be on resume)
  • Major study in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Software or firmware development
    • Electronics design
    • AI or data science
    • Software, firmware, or electronics testing
