Job description

Position:  Software Tester - Co-op/Intern
Number of Position(s): 1
Duration: 4 Months  
Date: Winter Term Jan 4th - Apr 30th, 2027 
Location: Hybrid in Ottawa

EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.  
 

Your skills and experience
Strong programming skills (Python, Java,JavaScript) 
Familiarity with automation frameworks (Mocha) as well as web automation components (Selenium, webdriverio, Robot) 
Ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment 
Strong problem-resolution skills 
Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies 
UNIX operating environment (RHEL), Windows, Virtual Machines

It would be nice if you also had: 
Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, Neo4j, PostgreSQL) 
Networking and telecommunications knowledge 
UNIX operating environment (RHEL), Windows, Virtual Machines 
Knowledge of Routing Protocols (ie, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, RIP), and MPLS is an asset.
 


As a part of our team, you will:  
Development of scripts or applications (Python, Java,JavaScript) to simulatevarious management activities and network scenarios on a web-based (browser) platform 
Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product 
Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios 
Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality
