Job description

Do you love solving technical problems, improving systems, and helping people understand technology? Join us as an IT Network Technician and play a key role in supporting the Co-opโ€™s computer systems, networks, and infrastructure. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Operations and other departments to ensure systems run efficiently, upgrades are implemented smoothly, and employees receive reliable IT support.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, Wi-Fi systems, and core infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer, network, and hardware issues, providing timely support to employees across departments.
  • Set up new employee accounts, logins, devices, and email credentials.
  • Monitor and evaluate network performance, identifying areas for stability, speed, and security improvements.
  • Schedule, test, and participate in system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to staff workflows.
  • Provide ongoing IT training, support, documentation, and user guidance to employees.
  • Assess compatibility and performance of new technologies, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain system functionality through regular testing, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform regular data backups to protect company information and support business continuity.
  • Support the IT Manager by staying current on industry trends and contributing to technology planning.

WHAT YOU BRING

EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree in an IT program preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of relevant IT network, hardware, or systems experience required.
  • Experience with physical, network, and software security.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to perform all required job duties.

Physical Demands:

Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an grocery store setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight of up to 50lbs; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Repetitive hand movement. Utilization of proper PPE when using appliances and equipment. Employees must be able to climb and balance on step stools or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed. Repetitive arm and hand motions, as well as reaching above shoulders and horizontally to stock and retrieve inventory, are essential.

Working Environment:

Work is performed primarily in a grocery store setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.
