Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Locksmith / Door Hardware Installer to our Merrimack, NH team. In this role, you will install, repair, and maintain a variety of door hardware and access control systems to ensure the security and proper function of doors and entryways through both mechanical and electronic hardware solutions. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge of lock systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a customer-focused approach to every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, service, and repair locks, door closers, panic bars, exit devices, electronic access control systems, and other door hardware.
  • Rekey locks, change lock combinations, and master key systems as necessary.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic hardware problems.
  • Respond to emergency calls for lockouts, failures, or urgent security concerns.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders for hardware installation.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, customers, and other team members to deliver quality solutions.
  • Provide customer training and support on the proper operation of security hardware.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and local codes.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a locksmith, door hardware installer, or similar role in the security industry.
  • Familiarity with commercial security hardware, including electronic access systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic lock systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaborate with the team.
  • Physical ability to lift and install hardware or doors as needed.
  • Locksmith certifications (e.g., CRL, CPL, CML) from ALOA or similar are a plus.
  • Experience with access control systems (e.g., card readers, electronic strikes) is a plus.
  • Additional security-related credentials are a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Field-based role requiring regular travel to residential and commercial job sites throughout the service area.
  • Physical demands include lifting and installing door hardware, working with hand and power tools, and handling equipment in varying site conditions.
  • Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces as required.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend availability to respond to emergency service calls.

The wage for this role is $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
