Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Service Engineer with experience troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems on CNC mills and lathes. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment at customer sites, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and machine calibration to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical support, training, and recommendations to customers.
  • Diagnose and repair CNC machine issues efficiently.
  • Document service activities, including repairs and inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Siemens, Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, or HAAS NGC control systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Skilled in machine alignment, calibration, and diagnostics.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Chicago area (90%), with occasional overnight stays (10%).
