Qualifications and Skills Requirement:


Type of CNC machine to operate:

  • Thermwood CNC machines 3 axis & 5 axis. Milling only. Siemens control system


Level of setup required:

  • Ability to run and stop machines, load programs, and set home position, comfortable handling 4x8 MDF sheets.
  • Must be able to Read and Interpret technical drawings/blueprints and specifications to program and set up CNC machines.


Primary responsibility in this position:

  • It is primarily an operating position, loading and laminating stock (bulkheads), position in machine, changing tools, load program and run. No troubleshooting required. The right candidate will be trained.


Level of experience:

  • 1 – 2 years operating CNC milling machine (Ability to setup is a plus)
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in CNC machining.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Machining Tools: Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring tools.
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code).
  • Machining Materials: Familiarity with various materials and their machining properties.
  • CNC Machines: Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and precision in machining tasks.
  • Physical: Physical stamina for standing and operating machinery for extended periods.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuous learning and staying updated on advancements in CNC technology.
