Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance and daily maintenance of equipment including robot welding, CNC HMC machines, SPMs and assembly machines etc. with limited guidance.
  • Must have maintenance knowledge of these machines to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
  • Safely, professionally and efficiently, complete machine repairs and rebuilds per line-up and do documentation
  • Must be able to support and participate in continuous improvement functions on the plant equipment, processes and demonstrate a spirit of teamwork and cooperation to improve overall plant OEE.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a background Knowledge and skill set troubleshooting CNC HMC Mills(Makino / Moriseiki), robot welding, press assembly, compressors, hydraulics andfacility general equipment

  • Industrial maintenance mechanical hydraulic course completion / relevant experience

  • Ability to stand for long periods on shop floor

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

  • Must be able to train, assist, lead, direct, instruct and discipline employees

  • Firm understanding of safety regulations including MIOSHA and Government.

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation using the Microsoft Office Suite, includingWord, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong sense of time management and urgency

  • Familiarity with government regulations for industry and safe work practices dealingwith machine repair

  • Familiarity with complex machinery, electrical circuits, and plant operating equipment

  • Must have and maintain a sense of urgency, self-motivation and overall good workethic while performing tasks in a safe manner

  • Skills in interpersonal relations and written and oral communications

  • Understand the major components of CNC machines, welding robots and theirfunction. (Sensors, PLC, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, etc.)

  • Must be able to work flexible hours

  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift
