What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
  • Program 2-axis and 3-axis milling and turning operations
  • Work directly with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Production Control and machine operators to support production goals
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and part specifications
  • Select tooling, cutting strategies and workholding solutions for new and existing jobs
  • Develop setup sheets and maintain program revisions
  • Conduct first-run prove-outs independently or alongside machine operators
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and revise programs to improve quality, efficiency and cycle times
  • Help maintain production schedules by supporting manufacturing priorities
