Job description

Adecco Staffing is working with a precision manufacturing company in Contoocook, NH to hire experienced CNC Machinists for 2nd Shift. This is a full-time opportunity for machinists who enjoy complex setups, high-precision work, and working with advanced CNC equipment.

We are seeking candidates with experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC machining centers, including 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe equipment. This position offers competitive pay, a 4-day work week, overtime opportunities, and the chance to work on challenging, high-tolerance components.

Position: CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer

Shift: Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Pay: $27.00 – $34.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Duties:
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers and lathes
• Run complex machining jobs with tight tolerances
• Modify and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and productivity
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, and offsets
• Work from blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Verify conformance to print specifications and GD&T requirements
• Assist with fixture design and process improvements
• Support less experienced machinists with technical guidance
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain organized workstations
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of CNC machining, setup, and/or programming experience
• Experience with 3-axis, 5-axis machining centers and/or CNC lathes
• Experience modifying or creating CNC programs
• Knowledge of G-Code programming
• Experience with Mastercam, WinMax, or similar programming software preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings
• Understanding of GD&T and high-tolerance machining
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and moving equipment
