FK Instrument is a growing precision machine shop focused on advanced manufacturing and continuous improvement. As we expand and upgrade our facility, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and leads high performing teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys working in a dynamic manufacturing environment where no two days are the same and where your contributions have a direct impact on operational success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Oversee manufacturing process development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage engineering projects, timelines, and resource planning.
  • Validate manufacturing processes and improve process capability.
  • Lead PFMEA activities and support APQP/PPAP requirements.
  • Partner with Operations and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing and quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering change implementation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment
  • Strong hands-on background with CNC machining processes and equipment
  • CNC programming experience required (Mastercam or similar)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot machining issues on the shop floor
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and CAM software (Mastercam strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and machined component print interpretation
  • Experience with process improvement in a production machining environment
  • Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Six Sigma is a plus
