Job description

MC Molds Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to program 3 and/ or 5 axis CNC milling centers using 2D and 3D CAM software.
  • A minimum of 2 full years of CNC programming using CAM software
  • Create efficient machining programs with correct tooling and feed-rates.
  • Must be able to read and understand blue prints.
  • Must understand GD&T fundamentals
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of good fixture and jig practices.
  • Ability to work with a cross functional team on a variety of projects
  • Willingly to work overtime and on the weekends when needed
  • Knowledge and experience with feature recognition software is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience post processing and editing posts.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Download required data into CAM software
  • Create CNC milling programs using WorkNc, Surfcam and Powermill for a variety of mold components
  • Create machining programs with correct tooling, speeds and feed-rates.
  • Produce clear instructional Set-Up sheets for CNC machinist with estimated cycle times.
  • Work with the CNC machining department to determine the most efficient process for making a variety of mold components
  • Work with the CNC machining department on continuous improvement projects
  • Use vericut (CNC machining simulation software) for detecting errors, or areas of inefficiency prior to releasing programs to CNC machining department.
