Vitesse Systems is looking for a Machinist III to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! The Machinist III is responsible for programming and manufacturing our high precision antenna feeds and other parts.

The Role
The primary responsibility of the Machinist III is to program and manufacture our high precision antenna feeds.
Key Responsibilities
  • Program CNC machines according to internal policies and technical documentation using MasterCam.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required.
  • Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
  • Program and manufacture antenna feeds according to readings.
  • Interpret and apply blueprints.
  • Apply advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Utilize hand and measurement tools to complete various manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
  • Provide technical training to others in manufacturing
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Participate in technical troubleshooting and documentation as needed
  • Provide technical training and guidance within the team
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Related certificate in Precision Machining preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of machining experience
  • Minimum of 8 years programming CNC machines utilizing MasterCam
  • Minimum of 8 years utilizing GD&T
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Working knowledge of work rules and safety guidelines
  • Proficiency with GD&T
  • Proficiency reading blueprints
  • Experience using Mastercam software is a plus
