Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consistently practice safe work habits and abide by all safety policies and guidelines
  • Maintain inventories of all sheet metal and parts using established control procedures
  • Safely handle sheet metal and material handling equipment to prevent injuries, prevent damage to equipment and to ensure the quality of the product
  • Do complex setups, recall, edit programs and make offsets as required to troubleshoot and meet quality & production requirements on laser and press brake CNC equipment
  • Perform cutting, bending, punching, drilling, and deburring, etc. operations per engineering drawings, specifications and established practices
  • Organize and complete tasks on time to meet the production schedule requirements
  • Be willing to cross train and train lesser experienced employees in the area
  • Perform and document all quality inspections and testing as required
  • Handle sheet metal and other material and prepare products for delivery to the next customer as required
  • Maintain housekeeping, safety & user maintenance of all equipment as required
  • Accurately record time and material data as required for production reporting

    Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent (Associate Degree is a plus)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in setting up and operating CNC laser & press brake equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must be able to read measuring tools such as calibers, micrometers, tape measures, protractor, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and actively contribute to the success of the team
  • Good communication (English fluency) and organization skills with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the job & be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs
  • Thorough knowledge of work holding systems, tooling and safe machining practices
  • Must be self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate windows systems required
