What will you do?

  • Program and operate CNC lathe on a daily basis
  • Operate manual lathe as needed
  • Follow through on First Part Checked procedure
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Maintain schedule and deadline requirements
  • Take instruction and work load assignments from Supervisors
  • Gather and transport raw material to designated areas
  • Safety inspections of hoists, forklifts and machinery
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance on CNC
  • Perform minor repairs on CNC lathe as needed
  • Operating forklift
  • Enter work orders in JDE Edwards
  • Other duties as assigned

What do you need to succeed?

  • Ability to read shop drawings
  • Ability to follow safe operating procedures
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little
    or no supervision
  • Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication
  • Ability to get along well with others
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of small hands tools, impacts and air tools
  • Basic computer skills; knowledge of JD Edwards an asset
  • Basic math skills

Working Conditions:

  • Standing for long amounts of time
  • Frequent stooping, reaching
  • Lifting or carrying alone or with assistance up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushing, pulling or dragging alone or with assistance up to 200 lbs.
  • Performing physical labor for long periods of time
  • Work under hazardous, dangerous conditions (heat, dust, smoke, noise)
  • Working outside in the elements (cold, hear, rain, snow)
  • 4 x 10 hours, Monday to Thursday, Day Shift 7 AM - 5:30 PM or Night Shift 5:30
    PM - 4 AM
  • Must be willing to relocate to Humboldt/Englefeld area
  • Must be eligible work legally in Canada
