Forming Machine Operator Burley, ID|HIRING IMMEDIATELY|

Compensation

  • $20.07 - Paid Weekly

*Eligible for quarterly bonus based upon plant productivity*

Available Shifts:

7:00pm to 7:00am

The Pulp Forming Machine Operator will be responsible for producing molded fiber food service containers on pulp thermoformers in a continuous operation during the full shift. The Pulp Forming Operator is also responsible for performing quality tests on the product and reacting according to established reaction plans. The Pulp Forming Operator will continually monitor up to four pulp thermoforming machines and make adjustments required to ensure quality product is being produced.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate pulp thermoforming equipment in accordance with standardized operating procedures and troubleshoot the pulping process to achieve established quality and production targets.
  • Knowledge of pulp consistency measurements and freeness tests.
  • Knowledge of how to do a draw down test on chemical pumps.
  • Be able to use both SI units of measure and Imperial units of measure where required.
  • Understand and operate weight scales in different units.
  • Have capacity to operate simple control panels.
  • Being responsible for monitoring and inspect product quality.
  • Being able to report to the supervisor about defects, mechanical issues, or quality of the pulp.
  • Maintain cooperation and communication among and between shifts, quality control, fiber molding and management.
  • Collect data, prepare and maintain reports.
  • Maintain work cell organization and cleanliness in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Good willingness to perform manual tasks, when necessary, even not directly connected with this job.
  • Maintain safe, clean and friendly work environment.
  • Follow guidelines of sampling procedures and input of data to SPC system.
  • Operate and adjust machines within process limitations as directed, maintaining optimum machine operating efficiency and uptime.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and diagrams.
  • Ability to read and understand metric system measurements.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot problem areas.
