CNC Machinist
Reports To: QC Supervisor
Job Summary
The CNC Machinist sets up, operates, and troubleshoots CNC milling and/or turning machines to produce precision metal and non-metal parts. This role ensures accurate setups, program execution, and in-process quality to meet engineering and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines using programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining processes.
  • Adjust and edit CNC programs, speeds, feeds, and offsets as needed.
  • Monitor machining operations, identify tool wear or process issues, and apply corrective actions.
  • Inspect first-article and in-process parts to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Document production and inspection results per control plans.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Follow all safety, ISO/IATF, and Lean manufacturing standards.
Education & Experience
  • Technical certificate or 3-5 years of CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Close visual acuity and ability to adjust focus required.
