Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an CNC, Deburring, Lathe Operator positions. The successful candidate will operate and maintain CNC, deburring, and lathe machines to produce precision-machined components according to specifications, responsible for setting up the machines, selecting and installing cutting tools, and monitoring the machining process to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise in lathe operations, attention to detail, and ability to interpret engineering drawings will be crucial in this role.

The salary range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00 per hour – We have day shifts and night shift available (5:30PM-2:00AM).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, facing, drilling, and other machiningoperations on various materials, including metals and alloys.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or work instructions to determine machiningrequirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Install and align workpieces in the lathe machine, using appropriate fixtures and clampingmethods to ensure stability during machining.
  • Select and install cutting tools, adjusting tool holders, speeds, feeds, and depth of cutbased on material and machining requirements.
  • Monitor machine operations, including cutting speeds, feeds, and tool wear, and makenecessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on lathe machines, including cleaning, lubrication, andtooling changes, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machining processes.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Lathe Operator or in a similar manufacturing role ispreferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technicalspecifications accurately to understand machining requirements, dimensions, andtolerances.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers,calipers, dial indicators, and gauges, to verify part dimensions and ensure adherenceto required tolerances.
  • Knowledge of different cutting tools, their geometries, and their application forspecific machining operations. Ability to select and install appropriate tools based onmaterial and machining requirements.
  • Familiarity with various lathe machining techniques, such as turning, facing,drilling, threading, and grooving, and the ability to apply them effectively to produceaccurate and high-quality components.
  • Proficiency in performing routine maintenance tasks on lathe machines, such ascleaning, lubrication, and tooling changes, to ensure optimal machine performanceand longevity.
