Location: Kalispell, MT
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $20 – $30 per hour DOE
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in setups using hard jaws, soft jaws, angle plates, and other holding techniques, while maintaining top quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform setups using various clamping and holding methods (hard jaws, soft jaws, angle plates, etc.).
Demonstrate correct machining methods to ensure best finish, fast cycle times, and minimal setups.
Set proper speeds and feeds according to job requirements.
Understand job tolerances and setup times — simple setups typically range from 15 to 40 minutes depending on prior part runs.
Operate both manual mill and lathe.
Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and part tolerances.
Use and understand measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and go/no-go gages.
Maintain high quality standards and meet production deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proficient with manual milling and lathe operations.
Strong understanding of machining tolerances and setups.
Ability to read prints and technical drawings.
Skilled in the use of measuring instruments and inspection tools.
Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals interchangeably.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
