CNC Machinist / Programmer (Lathe & Mill)

Axis Technologies Inc. | Lowell, MA

$35–$45/hour + shift differential | Full-time | 1st & 2nd shifts

Since 1987, Axis Technologies has been a premier supplier of precision, close-tolerance

CNC machined parts and sub-assemblies. We work on both prototypes and production runs

in a modern, climate-controlled 14,000 sq ft facility equipped with multi-axis mills, live-tooling

lathes, and advanced inspection equipment. We’re looking for a skilled CNC Programmer

who takes pride in accuracy and wants to join a collaborative team that values craftsmanship.

What you’ll do

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs for lathe and milling operations

using Mastercam.

• Set up and operate CNC machines (setup experience is a plus).

• Perform in-process and final inspections with CMM, micrometers, bore gauges, and

other precision tools.

• Apply GD&T principles throughout programming and quality checks.

• Maintain tooling, support fabrication as needed and uphold safety and quality

standards.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of Mastercam (version 19 or newer) programming experience.

• Proven background as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong blueprint-reading and mechanical skills; solid GD&T knowledge.

• Experience with tooling setup, maintenance, and precision measuring instruments.

• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail; ability to work well with the team.
