FANUC Instructor (Position #040502)


The Instructor is responsible for delivering technical training programs to customers, distributors, and FANUC America employees. This role is ideal for an energetic, customer-focused professional with a background in manufacturing, automation, robotics, CNC, electrical, or mechanical systems who enjoys teaching and helping others develop technical skills.

The successful candidate will have strong presentation and communication abilities, a passion for learning new technologies, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into effective training programs.


Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Conduct FANUC training courses using:
  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Instructor and student guides
  • Objective-based exercises
  • Pre-tests and post-tests
  • Robots, simulators, and machine tools
  • Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on technical instruction.
  • Evaluate student progress and ensure learning objectives are met.

Curriculum Development & Improvement

  • Identify discrepancies between products and training documentation and communicate findings to the appropriate teams.
  • Recommend improvements to training materials and curriculum.
  • Collaborate with technical writers and instructors to ensure consistency and quality of training content.

Customer & Technical Support

  • Provide technical assistance to customers and internal departments by answering questions and recommending solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts related to FANUC products and systems.
  • Deliver training at customer locations when required.

Training Environment Management

  • Prepare and maintain classrooms, laboratories, simulators, and training equipment.
  • Ensure a professional, best-in-class learning experience for all students.
  • Contribute ideas that enhance employee culture and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret:
  • Electrical schematics
  • Mechanical drawings
  • Technical documentation
  • Ability to learn and understand programming concepts and code.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based applications.
  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with production automation systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with robotics, CNC machines, industrial controls, PLCs, maintenance, or technical training.
