Experienced Machinist 
The primary purpose of this job is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts.
 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage multiple machines at same time 
  • Operate CNC machines and run proficiently 
  • Oversee set up and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills 

Education/Certification

  • High school graduate or equivalent 

Experience 

  • 2 - 6 years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including 3 years of CNC experience or journeymen machinist.  

Skills/Competencies 

  • Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances. 
  • Capability to use basic inspection tools and techniques.
  • Capacity to understand and follow through with verbal or written instructions. Good understanding of shop math.
  • Proficient with interpersonal relations, organization and communication skills. 

Equipment Used 

  • CNC Lathe and/or Mills 

Physical Requirements 

  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.  Standing for 8+ hours per day.
