Job description

Position Description:

The CNC Machinist performs complex machine setups on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines, has G & M code knowledge, and is able to run and inspect parts with little to no supervision.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ability to setup and run machines accurately, and efficiently
  • Able to read operation sheets and blueprints
  • Able to maintain quality standards and accurately measure completed work
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
  • 1+ years of CNC machine operation
  • HAAS and Okuma control knowledge a plus
  • G & M code understanding
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
  • Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations
