You'll be part of a team that takes pride in doing precision work that counts - parts that must perform, every time, because the mission depends on it.
What You'll Do
  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers to produce complex parts from customer drawings and specifications.
  • Our work sizes range to that of 24-inch cube or smaller part size with tight tolerances
  • Develop new machining methods and tooling for complex, first-of-their-kind parts
  • Select the right cutting tools and workholding for the material and process in front of you
  • Ability to interact with customers on new development projects
  • Interpret GD&T to inspect and measure finished parts against demanding quality standards using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial/digital indicators, bore gauges, and thread gauges
  • Bring ideas to the table for continuous improvement - better methods, smarter tooling, tighter cycles
  • Collaborate with engineering on the design, test, and new product development - your shop-floor perspective helps shape what gets built next

What You Bring
  • Equivalent knowledge and ability of a 20-year machinist
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus advanced technical training
  • Sharp attention to detail and a genuine problem-solving mindset
  • Comfort with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Measure and document as required inspection data to assure part compliance, utilizing mechanical methods, manual CMM.
  • Solid math fundamentals (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions)
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of customer specs
  • A team-first attitude - this work gets done best together
  • A strong commitment to safety and a clean, organized workspace

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Manual dexterity for extended periods
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
