HiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing industry in Meriden, CT!


Salary: $25-$40/hour, based on shift and experience

Shift: All Shifts

Location: Meriden, CT


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes
  • Machine complex aerospace-grade and precision components to tight tolerances
  • Interpret advanced blueprints and GD&T callouts to ensure accurate production
  • Adjust tooling, offsets, and machining parameters to maintain part quality and precision
  • Perform in-process inspections and final quality validation using precision measurement tools
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency and consistency
  • Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements
  • Maintain a strong focus on minimizing scrap, rework, and production downtime

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or machining certification preferred
  • Additional CNC machining coursework or apprenticeship experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with multi-axis machining
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience working with controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, and/or Mitsubishi
