Job description

Job Summary: Provide compassionate direct and indirect care to residents, including medication administration and support with daily living activities. Engage effectively with residents, their families, staff, and visitors, fostering a respectful and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold and promote the philosophy of encouraging self-care and independence among residents.
  • Respect and appreciate the heritage, values, and experiences of residents, with sensitivity to the aging process.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential resident records following established protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure quality care.
  • Communicate tactfully and diplomatically in sensitive or emotional situations.
  • Remain composed during emergencies and maintain a calm atmosphere with low noise levels.
  • Assist the Dietary department as needed or directed.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the relevant state.
  • Nurse Delegation Core and Diabetic Certification required.
  • Preferred certifications include Mental Health, Dementia, and Developmental Disabilities for Assisted Living.
  • At least one year of experience assisting with or administering medications under Nurse Delegation in an Assisted Living setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Point Click Care E-Mar documentation is a plus.
Professional Requirements:
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain certifications.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and complete tasks within designated timelines.
  • Exhibit courteous, respectful, and helpful communication with patients, guests, and staff.
