Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN overnight Certified Nursing Assistant to join our upscale plastic surgery center!

A bit about the position: The CNA will help patients recover from elective surgical procedures. Under immediate supervision of Registered Nurse (RN). The CNA assists the nurse with any patient care needs. Mainly overnight shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am or 8:00 pm - 8:00 am with occasional day shifts.

What can you expect in the role:

  • Assists with providing patient care to include I&Os, position changes, vital signs, and linen changes.
  • Stock recovery room carts, OR family waiting room and linen cabinet.
  • Clean, make beds in ORs, and wipe down all surfaces in ORs.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Current CNA license in the state of North Carolina or currently enrolled, in good standing, in a nursing program leading to eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • 2 years of CNA experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Friendly and professional bedside manner.
  • Understand legal implications of patient care.
