This role is responsible for ensuring equipment meets operational, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting technicians and project teams with reliable testing equipment.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable troubleshooting specialized equipment in a technical environment.What you'll be doing:Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on nuclear density gauges and related testing equipmentTroubleshoot equipment issues, inspect for malfunctions, and repair or replace defective componentsComplete service work orders and maintenance records accurately and in a timely mannerRead and interpret technical manuals and calibration proceduresMaintain accurate process documentation and calibration recordsAssist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupport equipment inventory management and trackingWork independently or as part of a team to ensure equipment reliability for field operationsOccasionally travel to perform equipment service or support field teams as neededWhat you have:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 2 years of related work experience in mechanical repair, commercial appliance repair, specialized equipment repair, calibration, or metrology industriesMechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and understand technical manuals and equipment documentationFamiliarity with electronic components and repair techniquesBasic computer skills for documentation and recordkeepingAbility to lift up to 75 lbs regularlyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesWhat will make you stand out:Experience working with nuclear density gauges or construction testing equipmentFamiliarity with equipment calibration processes or metrology practicesExperience in construction materials testing or laboratory environmentsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple service tasksKnowledge of radiation safety protocols or equipment compliance standardsPreferred Certification(s):Radiation Safety / Nuclear Gauge Safety TrainingTroxler or Humboldt Nuclear Gauge Service TrainingACI, NICET, or WAQTC certifications related to construction materials testing (a plus)CMT Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
