Summary: Charlotte Motor Speedway is looking for Recovery Crew Members to join our Track Services Team! We are an event venue that provides services for track rentals, major racing events and concerts. We are looking for people who like working in high energy environments that bring skill and passion to their job.
The ideal candidate will adopt a GLOBE mentality. GLOBE stands for Generously Lending Our Best Efforts. This is done by holding themselves and their teammates accountable for taking our best practices "the last mile" - optimizing them for maximum value to all of our stakeholders while sharing insights on how to improve our company. The ideal candidate will also be a productive and proactive self-starter who is passionate about his/her duties and willing to put forth the extra effort to achieve excellence.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of organization, and department policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of general knowledge of towing race cars, street cars, and other vehicles as needed.
  • Knowledge of lockouts, jumpstarts and providing air for flat tires (preferred).
  • Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with CMS staff and the public.
  • Ability to follow directions effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to possibly transport items to and from other tracks for events.
  • Prior track and towing experience preferred, but not necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This work requires the regular exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and frequent exertion of over 100 pounds of force; work frequently standing, walking, sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions; visual inspection involving small defects and small parts, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work frequently requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions, exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment. This position involves being on site during all events that occur after normal business hours, weekends, and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
After employment, you will be required to attend annual Track Services Training that is offered each year.
Valid Drivers License
