Summary

A well-established manufacturer of high-performance materials is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations and ensure equipment reliability across a fast-paced industrial environment.

This role is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, managing a team of skilled mechanics, and driving preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who can balance team management with technical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance mechanics, assigning daily priorities and ensuring timely completion of work
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and schedules using CMMS systems
• Ensure all plant equipment and facility systems are operating safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures
• Coordinate emergency repairs and after-hours maintenance needs as required
• Oversee installation, upgrades, and repairs of industrial equipment
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and manage vendor relationships
• Enforce safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and regulatory compliance
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiency

Requirements

• 10+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Prior experience leading or supervising maintenance teams
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, welding, and plumbing systems
• Experience with CMMS platforms (preventative maintenance tracking systems)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Comfortable responding to after-hours or emergency maintenance situations
• Journeyman, trades, or technical education background preferred
