Job description

The Global Data Center Availability Team at Amazon Web Services is looking for a Senior Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Manager to lead medium to large scale availability programs within the team.
The Senior CMMS Manager will be called upon to assist in data center evaluations, optimization, and improvements of data center environments globally, which maintain the highest performance standards and utilize innovation to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
The candidate must have operational data center experience and experience managing CMMS schedules to track power and cooling assets, schedule maintenance, and track spare parts.
The manager will support multiple internal business organizations and will be responsible for communication of program statuses and metrics. The manager must be able to communicate any issues and/or risk in a clear and professional manner to ensure appropriate actions are met by internal Amazon stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior CMMS Manager, you will:
Manage a team of 8-12 employees, developing their technical and leadership capabilities through coaching, performance management, and career development planning
Serve as a key business partner working directly with global operations teams, inter-departmental business partners and internal stakeholders
Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers, and Sr. leaders to develop your programs
Analyze complex, ambiguous, and potentially escalated business issues to develop recommendations for the operations leadership team
Drive process change and improvement across multiple business and program teams, including strategic initiatives to reduce asset collection time, improve asset data accuracy, and enhance available asset attributes to meet evolving customer needs**
Report ad hoc, weekly, and monthly program and operating metrics
Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
Define and execute on team goals and operational strategies that align with broader CMMS and Availability Team objectives
A day in the life
A typical day for this individual would be a mix of meeting (in person/remote) and influencing stakeholders across multiple businesses and global regions

Non-meeting time will be focused developing project plans, aligning on milestones across teams, doc writing, developing/monitoring metrics, understand end customer requirements and pain points, and reporting on status of efforts. You will be responsible for the day to day management and growth of your team.
About the team
The Availability team is responsible for developing power and cooling maintenance programs. The team defines scopes of work for these asset types, defines spares standards, develops tooling to gather PM data and identify failures, develops digital procedures to execute work, and manages CMMS tooling to track assets, work, labor, and spares

The team acts as the global process owners for Engineering Operations Technicians operating critical DC infrastructure to support power and cooling to servers.
