Role Description: The Laser CNC Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Stafford Springs, CT, responsible for operating CNC Mill, Laser, and Turret Press to produce high-quality nameplates and labels. Day-to-day tasks include setting up laser CNC equipment, loading materials, selecting and verifying programs, and performing test runs to ensure proper operation. The Laser CNC Operator monitors machines during production, inspects parts for accuracy and quality, and adjusts settings to maintain tight tolerances and consistent output. This role also involves performing routine maintenance and cleaning on equipment, following safety protocols, and documenting production activities in accordance with company and industry standards. The Laser CNC Operator collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet customer specifications and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Strong Machine Operation skills, including setup, calibration, and safe operation of CNC and laser machinery.
• Experience with Machining and Milling processes related to metals, plastics, or other industrial materials.
• Proficiency in Quality Control practices, including visual inspection, measurement tools, and compliance with specifications.
• Hands-on familiarity with industrial Machinery, with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and production documentation.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or a related industrial environment; experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, or OEM industries is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining, CNC operation, or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a production environment.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and follow standardized processes and quality systems.
