Job description

CMM Operator/Inspector – Verify that products are meeting dimensional and quality requirements of the customer.  Run CMM programs and possibly create Programs.  Assist as required.  This can include manual or automated programs. 

Tasks:

  • Load part on machine
  • Touch off on part to calibrate program
  • Monitor machine while working
  • Follow work instructions
  • Follow quality system
  • Verify quality of product
  • Wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs and dust mask)
  • Complete/fill in reports
  • Complete any task presented by management
  • Maintain and clean machinery, equipment and work area

Skills:

  • Communication
  • Use of variety of tools and gauges
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Read and understand CMM Reports
  • Blue print and operation sheet reading
