Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 11am-7pm , off Thursday and Friday, Saturday-Sunday 6: 45am-2:45pm

Job Summary:

The Club Manager is responsible for all club operations under the supervision of the Senior General Manager. This includes ensuring that the operational and financial goals are met, creating member experiences that produce Raving Fans, and developing and leading a staff of servant leaders whose mission is to transform the lives of those they serve.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Ensure club is fully staffed, and the team performs to NFP standards. This includes building a bench with team members.  Responsible for recruitment and staffing to include: recruitment tactics, conducting pre-screens, interviewing candidates and hiring decisions. Provide back up support as needed.
  • Consistently achieve monthly goals, including drivers and KPI’s.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all members. 
  • Manages club labor and ensure payroll accuracy by validating employee timecards, approving payroll, scheduling shifts efficiently. 
  • Ensure assigned clubs are clean, well-maintained and safe for all members and staff.  Maintain at least a passing Club BER inspection monthly.
  • Hold staff accountable to policies and procedures. Provide coaching, constructive counseling, and progressive discipline (up to and including termination) to hold staff accountable for performance standards and adherence to policy/procedures.
  • Drive membership sales with a focus on achieving DGR goals and participate in community outreach.
  • Invest in staff training and development to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Assess areas of need in assigned club, develop, and successfully execute plan of correction.
  • Update Senior General Manager on assigned club progress weekly.
  • Attend and participate in Regional Meetings.
  • Completion of One-on-Ones on time with development goals and objectives.
  • Model Servant Leadership through daily interactions.
  • Work side-by-side with staff, supporting front desk activities through the use of the info call script, giving member tours, using Ignite to enroll/manage/cancel members, and cleaning club to NFP standards.
  • Ensure member accidents are reported in a timely manner through the NFP process.
  • Additional responsibilities may be required.
Job Requirements:
  • Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • High school education/GED.
  • Management experience through Planet Fitness preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, diplomacy and listening skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
  • Ability to successfully coach and develop team members.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Walking and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Crouching, bending, using hands to pinch and grasp.
