Job description

This is a part time position, 20-30 hours/wk requirement. 

The Member Experience Leader (MXL) is the essential club culture leader of the gym. They will consistently interact, communicate, and maintain an excellent relationship with gym members, fellow staff, and upper management. The MXL is responsible for carrying out key functions for operating the gym, which include but are not limited to: a) providing the absolute best customer service experience. b) account administration to current gym members. c) creating and maintaining excellent club culture. d) contacting leads and selling memberships to non-members. The MXL also monitors the gym environment and operations on a daily basis and collaborates with upper management on possible improvements where needed to continue growth and success of the club. The staff is required to use excellent communications and teamwork to carry out all job duties and requirements. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming all members and guests

  • Answering any and all questions and handling member complaints

  • Conflict resolution while maintaining professionalism

  • Answering and returning club calls

  • Giving club tours that are targeted to the needs of our guests through active listening

  • Completing walk-through of facility every 30 minutes and ensuring club cleanliness

  • Selling memberships/coaching packages, writing out agreements, and entering new members into multiple systems

  • Operating club financial system and collecting any balances of past due accounts

  • Scheduling club tours and Member Onboarding Appointments via phone, email, and text 

  • Organizing and maintaining front office

  • Cleaning and maintaining private restroom/shower facilities

  • Completing a daily task list

  • Responsible for organizing and leading Club Culture Events that foster inclusivity and uphold the brand purpose

  • Coaching and encouraging members in their journey to become the healthiest version of themselves 

  • Maintaining a robust social media presence for the club

Skills required:

  • Excellent phone/verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be quick and accurate with numbers

  • Ability to follow directions well

  • Ability to work well independently and with a team

  • Must have a positive and collaborative mindset 

  • Outgoing with the ability to quickly connect with people
