Multnomah Athletic Club Restaurant Support Lead-Expeditor

Role

Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking a Restaurant Support Lead-Expeditor to join our Food and Beverage Team. This lead role is responsible for supporting servers, training and managing support staff, and ensuring exceptional service and member satisfaction across all dining outlets. The Lead Expeditor will actively expedite during peak dining hours, working closely with the culinary team to maintain smooth operations and high service standards.

What You'll Do
  • Arrives on time in full uniform and attends daily shift meetings.
  • Set up and maintains the expo station, service stations, and side stations; stocks supplies and folds napkins.
  • Coordinates food flow from kitchen to table, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Performs final quality checks on all dishes to ensure presentation and standards are met.
  • Communicates effectively between front-of-house and back-of-house regarding special requests, allergies, and service needs.
  • Demonstrates thorough menu knowledge, including ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Supports floor operations by clearing and resetting tables promptly, assisting servers, and completing cleaning tasks.
  • Maintains clean, organized service areas and properly handles equipment to prevent damage or waste.
  • Upholds club's safety policies, reports hazards, and ensures safe work practices.
  • Promotes MAC's code of conduct and commitment to exceptional member service.
  • Schedules support staff based on performance metrics and operational needs.
What You'll Bring
  • Possession of valid food handlers permit.
  • 2 years full-service restaurant experience.
  • Familiarity with proper etiquette for removing dishes and utensils from tables.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer/guest service.
  • Ability to interact with members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to memorize menu items including the ability to describe at least three main ingredients and the method of preparation for each item.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions.
