Team Security Officer

Racing Louisville FC competes in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the premier professional women's soccer league in the United States. Operated by Soccer Holdings, LLC, Racing plays its home matches at Lynn Family Stadium and trains at the state-of-the-art Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center.

Racing Louisville FC is seeking an experienced Team Security Officer to oversee the safety and security of our players, technical staff, and traveling party. This individual will be embedded with the team and responsible for security operations during training, home and away matches, and all team-related travel. The Team Security Officer will work closely with the NWSL Director of Security to develop and implement security protocols that align with league standards, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements, and industry best practices.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary security resource for Racing Louisville FC during training sessions, home and away matches, player appearance, and all team-related travel.
  • Coordinate security operations with the NWSL Director of Security, stadium personnel, law enforcement, and venue security partners.
  • Conduct security assessments for team facilities, hotels, transportation, and competition venues.
  • Develop and maintain Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and team security protocols.
  • Coordinate secure travel logistics and transportation plans for players and staff.
  • Monitor player, staff, media, and public interactions while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
  • Respond to security incidents, complete timely reports, and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with Team Operations, Medical, Player Care, Communications, and Club leadership to support day-to-day team operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in security, law enforcement, military, executive protection, or professional sports security.
  • Experience working in high-profile, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong judgment, situational awareness, communication, and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended road trips.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a professional sports team or league.
  • Experience coordinating security for team travel and large-scale events.
  • Familiarity with league security standards and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

Special Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of professional sports, this position requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, preseason, postseason, home and away matches, and other team-related events.
  • The standard work schedule is 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on training days.
  • Significant domestic travel is required, including overnight and extended road trips with the team.
  • Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to respond quickly during emergency situations.
