Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Aceable is seeking a qualified New York Insurance professional to serve as the Instructor of Record for our online insurance prelicensing courses. This flexible contract position is ideal for an experienced licensee looking to share their expertise with the next generation of insurance professionals. We welcome applicants qualified in Property & Casualty; Life, Accident & Health; or both lines (you do not need to cover both to be considered).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Instructor of Record for New York prelicensing coursework delivered in an online format
  • Review and attest to course completion records as required by state regulation
  • Remain available for occasional student questions or administrative correspondence related to course oversight
  • Maintain active licensure and any required instructor credentials throughout the engagement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently hold an active New York insurance license in the applicable line(s) of authority.
  • Pass the applicable New York licensing exam within the past three years and provide a passing score report from the NYS testing vendor (PSI Exams).
  • In addition, must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
    • Hold a CPCU designation (Property & Casualty) or CLU designation (Life, Accident & Health); or
    • Have three or more years of qualifying industry experience in the applicable line(s) of insurance (e.g., sales, underwriting, claims adjusting, or training).
  • Strong professional standing with no disciplinary history.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, online education environment.

WHAT TO KNOW

  • Pay for this position is $150.00 per month.
  • This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
  • Candidates qualified in either or both lines of authority are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates currently working with other insurance schools or education companies are welcome to apply — no exclusivity required.
