What is a cloud testing?

A Cloud Testing job involves evaluating cloud-based applications, services, and infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and scalability. Cloud testers use various testing methods, such as functional, performance, security, and compliance testing, to validate cloud solutions. They work with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and use automation tools to streamline testing processes. The role requires knowledge of cloud computing, test automation, and DevOps practices to ensure seamless software deployment and functionality in cloud environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the cloud testing position, and why are they important?

To excel in Cloud Testing, a solid grounding in software testing principles, cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and scripting languages like Python or Shell is essential, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field.
