Team Overview:
Impinj is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer specializing in IoT and embedded applications to join our Solutions Software organization working with the Developer Infrastructure team to design, deliver, and maintain cloud-based developer infrastructure. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that enable our engineering teams to deliver high-quality products quickly and efficiently. You will work closely with software, innovation, and silicon teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications and will play a key role in driving the adoption and improvement of DevOps practices across the organization.
What You Will Do:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise to automate build, test, and deployment processes
  • Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Administer and maintain JFrog Artifactory for artifact storage and dependency management
  • Implement configuration management and automation using Ansible
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions using Datadog
  • Write and maintain scripts and automation tools in Python for operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployments and improve release processes
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, security, and compliance across all environments
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other DevOps engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, or systems engineering
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
  • Experience optimizing and managing GitHub and Artifactory deployments
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware ESXi / vSphere)
  • Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and cloud architecture
  • Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort working in dynamic, evolving environments
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, structured project management, collaborative coding practices (such as code reviews and pair programming), and continuous improvement of code quality
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to teammates and non-technical stakeholders
Compensation & Benefits:

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $136,000- $204,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
