The Technical Product Manager - Cloud FinOps Analytics & Optimization is responsible for performing deep analysis of cloud and on-prem infrastructure spend, identifying optimization opportunities, validating savings recommendations, and partnering with application teams to drive adoption and realization of cost optimization initiatives.


This role works closely with engineering, architecture, cloud platform, finance, and application teams to translate cloud consumption data into actionable recommendations and measurable business outcomes.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Cost Optimization Analysis
    • Analyze cloud and on-prem infrastructure spend across AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB, and related platforms
    • Identify and validate optimization opportunities including rightsizing, storage optimization, idle resource cleanup, database optimization, autoscaling, and workload modernization
    • Quantify opportunity value, implementation effort, and realized savings
    • Perform ad hoc analysis to support optimization programs and business decisions
    • Develop data-driven recommendations that improve cloud efficiency and resource utilization
  • Optimization Program Management
    • Track optimization pipelines from identification through implementation and realization
    • Partner with engineering and application teams to drive execution of approved optimization opportunities
    • Monitor optimization results and identify additional opportunities for improvement
    • Support prioritization of optimization opportunities based on business value and implementation readiness
    • Maintain savings forecasts and realized savings tracking
  • Customer Engagement & Adoption
    • Engage directly with application teams to review optimization recommendations and remove implementation barriers
    • Drive adoption of cloud optimization best practices and services
    • Gather customer feedback and identify recurring challenges
    • Support optimization reviews and stakeholder discussions
  • Executive Reporting & Insights
    • Prepare executive-ready reports, scorecards, dashboards, and optimization summaries
    • Support Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), CIO reviews, and leadership meetings
    • Track and report on realized savings, opportunity pipeline, adoption, RI/SP utilization, and optimization effectiveness
    • Develop business narratives supporting optimization strategies and outcomes
  • AI-Assisted Analytics
    • Utilize AI tools and Copilots to improve analysis efficiency and opportunity discovery
    • Develop repeatable analytical frameworks and reporting processes
    • Support use of AI-driven insights to accelerate optimization decision-making
    • Leverage AI-powered analytics to identify trends, anomalies, and savings opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager driving outcomes across cloud, SaaS platforms, infrastructure, or FinOps-related products
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud cost drivers, usage optimization levers, and value realization across Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB, and data center environments
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics related to cloud and on-prem optimization through metrics and reporting
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker/Data Studio
  • 6+ months of experience building AI agents or leveraging AI-assisted tools for business or operational functions
  • Experience with SQL scripting
  • Experience with advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, conditional formulas, and data modeling
  • Experience partnering with customers or application teams to drive adoption and behavior change
  • Experience translating complex technical and financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience with backlog management, prioritization, and agile delivery methodologies

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
