Senior Network Engineer - Multi-Cloud & Hybrid-Cloud Automation
Description
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Cloud & Hybrid-Cloud Automation Engineer specializing in network automation. This role will focus on developing and maintaining automated network solutions across various public cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on Itential, Terraform, Ansible, and Python. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of networking concepts, hands-on experience with native public cloud networking & security constructs, Aviatrix, Arista CloudVision and Palo Alto Networks, and a proven track record in automating networks in large-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage automated network infrastructure solutions across multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI) and hybrid-cloud environments (Equinix/Megaport)
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks using Itential, Terraform, Ansible, and Python to streamline network configuration and deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network automation strategies and integrate them with cloud-native services
  • Automate Spine-Leaf architecture for hybrid-cloud application hosting
  • Develop automation builds to establish network security rules, ensuring secure and efficient traffic management
  • Develop automation builds for networking and security tools to ensure high availability, reliability, and visibility
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on network automation best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in multi-cloud & hybrid-cloud automation

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in networking, with at least 3 years focused on network automation
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Itential, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and Bash
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPCs/VNETs/VCNs, AWS TGW, Azure vWAN, OCI DRG, Private Links, DirectConnect, ExpressRoute, FastConnect, routing, switching, IPsec, VPNs, SG/NSG and Next Generation firewalls
  • Hands-on experience with Arista Spine-Leaf technologies, particularly CloudVision Portal
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks physical and virtual firewalls, including configuration and API management
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale environments, preferably within the financial sector
  • Familiarity with Network Monitoring and Management tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking or HashiCorp Cloud Engineer or Aviatrix ACE IaC are highly desirable
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, GitLab CI).

The salary range for this position is $114,000 - $152,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings (if applicable). Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience..
