Position: Data Visualization Engineer I

Duration: 12 Months
Location: 3535 Colonnade Parkway, Birmingham, AL 35243

Position Summary

The Data Visualization Engineer I is responsible for designing and developing data visualizations and dashboards using datasets from multiple sources. This role combines analytical thinking, technical capability, and visual storytelling to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has experience with modern BI tools, programming languages, and cloud data environments, and demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Visualization Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and interactive reports
  • Create compelling visualizations that clearly communicate trends and insights
  • Ensure data accuracy, clarity, and usability in all visual deliverables
  • Provide visual, technical, and editorial expertise for reporting content

Data Analysis & Modeling

  • Perform analytics using:
    • Predictive modeling
    • Machine learning techniques
    • Data mining
    • Statistical analysis
  • Translate business requirements into technical data solutions

Data Engineering & Integration Support

  • Work with ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Support data warehousing environments (Azure, AWS, SAP)
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across reporting systems

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
