Job description

Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications (AWS)
  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with company and sponsor security guidelines
  • Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems and solutions in accordance with best practices
  • Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize and solve issues before they snowball into problems
  • Assist sponsor with evaluating new cloud technologies as they become available in the enterprise
  • Collaborate with other developers and engineers to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions
  • Configure and monitor Linux installations including standard Linux utilities and shell scripts
  • Create and configure secure cloud resources in AWS
  • Configure high-volume data flows using NiFi
  • Perform custom data transformations from standard or proprietary formats to other formats (often based on JSON or XML)
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required
  • Bachelor's degree + 5 years of experience, or master's degree + 3 years of experience
  • 4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • At least two years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Creating or Configuring AWS resources such as SNS, SQS, EC2, or S3, especially using CloudFormation or Terraform
    • Configuring or Troubleshooting Linux servers/instances in a production environment
    • Implementing production software/scripts in a language such as Java, Python, Bash, C, or others
    • Configuring Network resources and incorporating Cybersecurity, including subnetting, routing, DNS, TLS, PKI infrastructure, SAML, OAuth or IPsec

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
