Responsibilities

The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the IT team installing and maintaining a reliable infrastructure platform. This role reports directly to the IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager and acts as the face of IT during local site visits and interacts with end-users and local site management. The successful candidate will be a technical, highly driven, self-managed, detailed oriented individual who demonstrates initiative and proactiveness.

Candidates can be located in either Oklahoma City, or Dallas Fort-Worth

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support network infrastructure at our 50+ locations.
  • Support M&A, site expansions, and new locations as required.
  • Document environments in support of network infrastructure (e.g. - rack elevations, site diagrams, wire mappings)
  • Provide third-level support for the internal help desk. This involves resolving complex technical issues that cannot be resolved at lower support tiers and may require in-depth knowledge of server hardware, network equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Expected to travel approx. 20 to 30%.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in server hardware, network equipment, and infrastructure support.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with servers, operating systems, firewall, routers, switches, and access points.
  • Experience with physically installing servers, network equipment, patch panels, and performing network cabling including terminations of network cables.
  • Able to work on a scissor lift (training provided) and being comfortable with heights
  • Able to lift, up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Must be proficient in one of the following areas: virtualization (Hyper-V or VMWare), cloud computing (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), operating systems management and support (Windows or Linux).
