About the Role
We are specifically seeking an experienced closer who is available to work closing shifts Thursday through Sunday. Our Closing Shift Lead plays a key role in ensuring the restaurant is properly prepared for the next business day by maintaining operational standards, food safety practices, cleanliness, team accountability, and effective communication throughout the evening shift.
This position serves as a bridge between the evening team and upper management by providing timely updates, communicating operational concerns, and helping ensure expectations are consistently met.
Position Overview
The Closing Shift Lead supports daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts and assists in overseeing team performance in the absence of upper management. This role helps promote a positive work environment, supports operational excellence, and contributes to delivering a great guest experience.
The Closing Shift Lead works alongside the team, assists with training and coaching, helps ensure operational standards are met, communicates important information to management, and supports the successful execution of all closing procedures.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Support
  • Provide support and direction to team members during assigned shifts.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
  • Lead by example through strong work ethic, professionalism, and guest service.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
  • Help reinforce company policies, procedures, food safety standards, and closing procedures.
  • Support team development through coaching and encouragement.
  • Promote accountability while maintaining a positive team culture.

Communication & Problem Solving
  • Maintain consistent communication with upper management throughout assigned shifts.
  • Provide updates regarding operations, staffing, inventory concerns, equipment issues, guest concerns, and other important business matters.
  • Address routine operational challenges and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
  • Ensure important shift information is communicated clearly during shift transitions.

Guest Experience
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Assist with resolving guest concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Help maintain service speed and product quality standards.
  • Create a welcoming environment for guests and team members alike.

Operations
  • Assist with and oversee closing procedures.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous restaurant, food service, retail, or leadership experience required.
  • Previous closing experience in a restaurant or food-service environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment during evening operations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, guests, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable and able to work scheduled closing shifts Thursday through Sunday.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
  • Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and guest service.
