Job Description

Excellent opportunity to join the Portfolio Management team of Blackstone’s leading CLO Franchise. The Liquid Credit Strategies Team ("LCS") manages $123B in AUM across a wide array of funds and accounts in the US and Europe, including CLOs, separately managed accounts, commingled funds, and registered funds. Blackstone is the largest global CLO and loan manager, with an integrated CLO platform that has issued over 150 BSL CLOs since inception in 2001. Associates and Senior Associates will gain exposure to a leading leveraged finance investing platform and oversee the entire life cycle of investments and portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Generating trade ideas based on relative value or to improve portfolio metrics
  • Portfolio construction and optimization
  • Communicating daily with trading desk on outstanding trades, market, and opportunities
  • Assisting in monitoring portfolio risk and metrics
  • Working with legal and middle office to monitor investment guidelines and compliance
  • Responding to investor requests and liaising with BXCI investor relations
Qualifications
  • Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
  • The ideal candidate should have: 2+ years of experience at a bank or buy-side asset manager, with a focus on CLOs
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least a base understanding of the Leveraged Loan product with emphasis on CLO experience
  • Proficient at navigating through fund compliance documentation and CLO indentures
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills to liaise with investors and various groups across Blackstone Credit & Insurance.
  • Analytical/problem solver with proficiency in excel

Expected annual base salary range: $140,000 - $150,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
