Job description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist Manager to oversee clinical pharmacy services, clean room (IV admixture) operations, and regulatory compliance at our expanding oncology practice in Eugene, Oregon.
This key leadership role combines high-level operational oversight, team mentorship, and clinical oncology program development. You will work closely with providers, nursing, and research leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and cutting-edge cancer therapies and clinical trial execution.
Position Overview

  • Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Standard business hours
  • Compensation: $115,175.00 - $239,211.00 (Commensurate with experience)

Core Responsibilities
1. Pharmacy Leadership & Operations
  • Manage and supervise daily clinical pharmacy services, guiding pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
  • Establish department-wide goals, policies, clinical procedures, and operational budgets.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment, hiring, training, ongoing continuing education, and performance reviews.
  • Act as a direct liaison for the Prior Authorization team and collaborate extensively with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative leadership.

2. Clinical Oversight & Compliance
  • Provide dedicated oversight of Clinical and MedKeeper pharmacists.
  • Review and approve new drug updates, clinical write-ups, and update IV admixture mixing guidelines.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with all legal, regulatory, accreditation, and REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) standards.
  • Perform clinical pharmacist and clean room/technician duties directly as needed.

3. Research & Financial Management
  • Conduct pharmacoeconomic research, data analysis, and modeling for cancer treatment alternatives to support clinical decision-making.
  • Provide active clinical support for oncology research initiatives and clinical trials.
  • Oversee drug purchasing systems, clinical billing procedures, and strict inventory control.

Required Qualifications
Education & Licensure
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Current, active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the state of Oregon (or eligibility for immediate licensure).

Experience
  • General Practice: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
  • Clinical/Clean Room: Minimum of 5 years of Clinical Pharmacist and/or Clean Room (IV Admixture) experience.
  • Leadership: Minimum of 2 years of direct leadership or pharmacy management experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Deep understanding of clinical pharmacy operations, clean room procedures, and IV admixture.
  • Proven track record with drug purchasing, clinic billing systems, inventory optimization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with REMS program compliance and pharmacoeconomic analysis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior oncology pharmacy or specialty retail pharmacy experience.
  • Direct experience supporting clinical trials and utilizing MedKeeper software.
  • Experience developing and writing department-level pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Strong background in budget management and leading multidisciplinary clinical teams.
