The Clinical Technician (Constant Patient Observer) maintains a collaborative relationship with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This non-certified role observes patients, provides basic nursing care, and maintains the patient environment in an outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate, and cost-effective manner.

  • Provides patient observation and reports observations to the RN
  • Maintains patient safety
  • Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures
  • Assists/feeds patients
  • Answers call lights promptly
  • Takes and records vital signs
  • Turns, moves lifts, ambulates and transports patient by wheelchair, stretcher or bed as needed within the hospital or for discharge

  • High school graduate or GED
